Please Help Fill the Food Bank
With escalating prices the food banks are serving more families and thus need more food. Rising Hope is serving over 225 families a week and United Community Ministries is serving between 85 and 100 families a day. Both food banks can use canned soups, canned fruits and vegetables, canned beans, canned meats, pasta, rice, tomato sauce, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter and cereal.Bring your donations to church on Saturday evenings or Sunday mornings and leave in the bins in the Narthex. The Outreach Team will deliver them for you.

Carnegie Hall Preview Concert

Singers from Aldersgate and Messiah
United Methodist Churches combine to present
Magnificat by John Rutter
which they will sing at Carnegie Hall in June.
The concert will also feature each choir in individual pieces, accompanied by piano, organ and orchestra. The public is invited to attend.
The concert will be in the Aldersgate Church sanctuary, 1301 Collingwood Road. A free will offering will be taken to help defray the cost of the concert.

Sign Up to Play Golf!
The Aldersgate United Methodist Men will be holding our 2nd Annual golf outing May 31 at Andrews Air Force Base in Clinton, MD. Tee time is at 2 p.m.This will be a team event, however, singles are also encouraged to sign up and play. Men, women, and teens of all ages and skill levels (members and non-members) are invited to join us for fun, golf, and food. Our goal is to have 100 participants this year.
There is an exciting special bonus for the first person making a hole-in-one — a 2-year lease on a 2008 Subaru Impreza sedan with an automatic transmission! Please make plans now to join us. Sign up opportunities will be available after the Sunday morning services. The cost is $80 per player and this automatically gives you a chance to win the car (if you have that hole-in-one!)
