WELCOMING VISITORS AND NEW MEMBERS
Welcoming ministries invite the community to come to Aldersgate, welcome new members to our place of worship, and connect them to our church family and activities.
Pew Pad Team - removes the sheets where people have signed the pew pads after the final Sunday service and records the names of first time visitors so they can be contacted.
Callers for First-Time Visitors - place telephone calls to first-time visitors and invite them to return, answer their questions, and offer to meet them the next Sunday.
Bread Pick Up - picks up the bread from the Safeway bakery that Aldersgate offers to first-time visitors.
New Member Team - organizes and invites prospective new members to orientation sessions (“Pastor’s Coffee”). Sends out invitation letters, provides hospitality, and welcomes attendees.
New Member Facilitators - serve as liaison to make sure new member forms are received by the membership secretary and that membership packets are assembled for people joining the church.
New Member Greeter - greet people prior to the service on the Sunday when they join the church.
