JOURNEY THROUGH THE BIBLE: Room 203   We will be presenting "The books nobody ever studies," an intensive walk through James, Jude, and I&II Peter.  Everybody is welcome.  Facilitator: Steve Rezendes  (s.rezendes@aol.com)

 

POTPOURRI  Room 202  Women Speak of God-From the earliest days of the church, women have spoken and written of their faith. Over Dec - Jan, the Potpourri Sunday School class will engage an inspiring study in which you will hear enduring stories of how God works in difficult times and places. This is a study for both women and men who want to grow in faith and understanding. The eight week video series is led by Dr. Amy Oden, Professor of History of Christianity at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. Please join us to learn more about these women in history: Perpetua, Macrina, Juana Inés de la Cruz, Susanna Wesley, Jarena Lee and Georgia Harkness. On Dec 23, we will depart from the study to discuss Mary, Mother of Jesus.

SEARCHERS    Room 211  9:45   Eclipsing Empire:  Join scholars Marcus Borg and John Dominic Crossan on location in Turkey as they trace the Apostle Paul's footsteps throughout the Roman Empire.  This DVD study explores fresh insights into Paul's message of the Kingom of God, its challenge to Roman imperial theology, and the apostle's relevance for today.

EXPRESS ALPHA - Beginning January, Express Alpha will be offered during the 11:15 Sunday School hour, immediately following the 9:45 worship hour.  Coffee and fellowship combined with Basic Christian beliefs with video format and discussion; room to be announced.
