Aldersgate’s Evening Vacation Bible School
for Children
June 22 – 26, 2008
God’s Big Backyard is full of fun, music, games, crafts, snacks and other kid friendly activities. But God’s Big Backyard is more than backyard fun – it’s also about serving others.
Aldersgate United Methodist Church invites children of all ages (through 6th grade) to an incredible week of Evening Vacation Bible School. We will begin our adventure in God’s Big Backyard on Sunday, June 22 and end on Thursday, June 26. Each evening we will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The children will learn about serving their family, friends, neighbors, community and Jesus. We are excited to offer this opportunity for kids to learn how to spread the love of Jesus by serving others to every child in our community.
We are looking for volunteers to help out in God’s Big Backyard. We especially need Classroom and Activity Center Co-Leaders, but there are other areas where the team could use volunteers as well.

Priority registration for the children of our volunteers begins on Sunday, April 6. We provide volunteers with wonderful nursery care for any child too young to participate in a classroom (under 3 years of age). Registration for all other children begins on Sunday, April 20. We encourage you to register online at www.aldersgate.net or you may obtain a registration form from the church office. Please be sure to register early – Evening Vacation Bible School promises to be a backyard blast!
In addition, there will be a child friendly dinner available each evening at 6:00 p.m. in Wesley Hall. There is a nominal charge for this family dinner. You will be able to peruse our menu and make dinner reservations online in May.
