SERVE Sunday
INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS & OUTREACH

Worship: 10:00am - 11:00am
Meal Packing: 11:30am - 1:30pm
Aldersgate UMC (Sanctuary + Wesley Hall)
It starts with a meal! It leads to resilience, self-sufficiency, education, empowerment, and bright futures in communities worldwide. Our efforts this Serve Sunday will benefit those remote, last-mile communities within hunger pockets designated "serious" or higher on the Global Hunger Index, which are the hardest places to reach. Join us in Wesley Hall to pack 30,000 meals with the Rise Against Hunger Mission. Please make sure you have registered ahead of time. Thank you!
We will have a single worship service at 10am with Woodlawn-Faith UMC. The meal packing event with Rise Against Hunger will start right after worship in Wesly Hall.
Schedule of Events for the Meal-Packing Event
10:00-11:30am -- Setup (Volunteers Needed)
11:30am-1:30pm -- Meal Packing Event (Volunteers Needed)
1:30pm-2pm -- Cleanup (Volunteers Needed)
Registration and submission of the Rise Against Hunger Liability Waiver and Release for Volunteer Activities is requested for all volunteers.
No donation is required.
You will be asked to select the volunteer shift(s) you would like to sign up for (setup, meal packing, and/or cleanup).
Rise Against Hunger is a charitable organization, the mission of which is growing a global movement to end hunger by empowering communities such as ours to stage meal packaging events to create fortified, dehydrated, shelf stable meals that are transported by Rise Against Hunger to areas of food insecurity around the globe.
