EVENT INFORMATION

Fellowship Riders (Formerly Bikes & Bibles)

FRESH EXPRESSIONS EVENT

Sunday, June 22nd | 1:00pm Meet-Up at Aldersgate

Ride from Washington Sailing Marina to Theodore Roosevelt Island

Join us for our first gathering in 2025 of the Fellowship Riders (formerly Bikes & Bibles). Bike riders of all ages and abilities are welcome, including their friends and guests.

This first bike outing of 2025 will be from the Washington Sailing Marina to Theodore Roosevelt Island and, if desired, Lady Byrd Johnson Park. Total length is 12-14 miles. The ride is on a very nice section of the Mount Vernon Trail, winding over Four Mile Run; past National Airport and Gravelly Point; under the 14th Street, Memorial, Route 50, and I-66 bridges; and over a wooded bridge part of the trail close to the island. The trail is relatively flat, and the gardens and trees should be lovely this time of year. The optional Lady Byrd Park extension goes under the Parkway toward the Pentagon.

We will meet at Aldersgate at 1:00pm and travel by auto to the Washington Sailing Marina to begin the ride at 1:30pm. Riders have the option of meeting the group at the marina for a 1:30pm ride start.

The ride is for everyone regardless of biking levels. Invite your biking friends and neighbors to join the fun.

Contact Bob Johnson (robert.johnson68@cox.net or 703-980-5922) for more information.

All are welcome!
