MUSIC AT ALDERSGATE
Not only do we believe that music is a primary way we experience God,
we think leading others musically is itself a way we grow in our faith.
If you would like to participate in a musical group or choir, the congregation would love to have you.
Please check with the leader of each group for information on how to join during the time of COVID.
Saturday Band: Vocalists and a variety of instruments. Supports the Saturday @ 5:30 service. Rehearses Saturdays at 4:00 p.m. Director: Andreas Barrett, email@example.com.
Wesley Choir: During the Covid pandemic, all group rehearsals in the music room are suspended. However the choir continues providing music for the pre-recorded services. We meet each Wednesday evening on Zoom from 7 - 8:30. Our meeting time includes fellowship, vocal warmups, and rehearsal of upcoming anthems. (We prepare 1-2 virtual anthems each month) Music and audio links are distributed by email, enabling singers to practice what has been rehearsed during the zoom rehearsals. Singers record their part from home on a phone or other device.
We hope you will consider joining us as we continue our music ministry during this time. For more information or to join, please contact the director at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will resume rehearsals in the music room when this pandemic is over and we are permitted to gather together to sing.
Children’s Choir: Not meeting at this time.
