2027 STEWARDSHIP CAMPAIGN

2 Growing in Grace - 1 - Main Image.png

May the blessings of our Lord strengthen your will, buoy your spirit and surround you in love. As the year winds down, and the trees turn their leaves, it’s time once again to think about our ministry and how we move forward in 2027. Rooted in Christ helped us build a solid church foundation in 2026, and this year I’d like us to embrace “Growing in Grace.” Colossians 2:6-7 states,

“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, continue

to walk in him, rooted and built up in him and the established faith.”

Just as a healthy tree grows from strong roots, our congregation flourishes when we nurture the faith that sustains us.

Through our worship, fellowship, service, and generosity, we

create a church where all can grow and where God’s grace

reaches beyond our walls and into the wider community.

If you haven't yet, we invite you to make a commitment of your financial resources in 2027.

Please consider renewing your pledge this year or making a new commitment if you have not been able to pledge in the past.

Please know that all gifts of all amounts matter.

OUR OPERATING BUDGET

The reason for making a pledged commitment is to support the annual expenses for the operating budget for the church. The operating budget is the cost of all the expenses of the church to include programs, missions, apportionments, salaries, overhead, etc. The total operating budget for 2027 is projected to be $1 million.

We rely on pledged commitments, non-pledged donations, and other revenue to meet these expenses.

Our goal is to receive pledged commitments for a total of $1,557,091.

Staff Salaries & Mission Funding in the Operating Budget

Apportionments also support missions, and there are restricted funds designated for missions.

Many members of the church support missions directly.

Staff Salaries are distributed throughout each ministry pillar, given the incredible ministries and talent required for each staff member here at Aldersgate UMC. You can find more information about this in our Annual Report.

Giving Thoughts & Thanks

Each fall, we invite our church family to prayerfully consider their commitment to Aldersgate through our Annual Stewardship Campaign.

Your generosity helps sustain the ministries, missions, programs, and spaces that allow our church to grow in faith and serve our community.

We recognize that these are challenging times and that many families are facing financial uncertainty. Giving is a personal decision, and every gift, regardless of size, makes a meaningful difference.

Scripture encourages us to grow in generosity through tithing, traditionally giving 10% of our income. While this is a spiritual goal, we encourage you to give as you are able and as your heart leads.

Above all, we are grateful for the many ways you contribute to the life of Aldersgate. Your generosity, presence, and participation help our church continue to grow in grace and share God's love.
