MISSION INFORMATION

Hypothermia Shelter

Mondloch House.png

In partnership with Ventures in Community and New Hope Housing, Rising Hope United Methodist Church provides overnight emergency shelter from December through March for up to 24 individuals experiencing homelessness. Volunteers from community churches and local civic groups provide a hot home cooked dinner and breakfast bags.

Aldersgate UMC will provide dinner to the Hypothermia Shelter guests on Tuesdays throughout the months of December and January. You can help by signing up to prepare and serve one of these dinners. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to be on-site.

If you would like to sign up to make dinner or would simply like to learn more about this ministry and how you can play a role in our support of the Hypothermia Shelter, please contact Karen Latta.
