MISSION INFORMATION

Hypothermia Shelter

Mondloch House.png

In partnership with Ventures in Community and New Hope Housing, Rising Hope United Methodist Church provides overnight emergency shelter from December through March for up to 24 individuals experiencing homelessness. Volunteers from community churches and local civic groups provide a hot home cooked dinner and breakfast bags.

You can support this mission this winter by donating adult winter clothing and/or blankets. The Hypothermia Shelter needs donations of men's and women's warm clothes. Donations may be either new or used and in good condition. Blankets (new or used) are also welcome. The most needed items are socks, gloves, hats, and coats. Donations may be dropped off at the church anytime at Door #3.

If you would like to learn more about this ministry and how you can play a role in our support of the Hypothermia Shelter, please contact Karen Latta.
