Second Sunday Breakfast at Rising Hope 

AUMC has long partnered with Rising Hope Mission Church to provide a worship service meal on the Second Sunday of each month. 12 families/ friends and assorted church groups can take on this wonderful event one or two time(s) a year. Youth groups and children are welcome to participate and will learn much in this effort but will need to be supervised on-site. 

The service need is two-fold: 

1) Provide a substantial breakfast in a ready to go condition for approximately 40.  Volunteers/Church service participants will deliver and help set up food at 8am on the Second Sunday of a month.

2) Provide 3-4 volunteers who will stay and participate in the Second Sunday Worship Service which begins with coffee at 8:45am with meal and discussion at 9 am. The service lasts about an hour, and clean-up is generally completed by 10:30 am. If you and your group cannot stay for the service that is OK!

By the Thursday before, contact should be made with Rising Hope staff, Darlene Runaldue -Community Care Coordinator drunaldue@risinghopeumc.org or 703.360.1976 who can provide information regarding what food items and paper goods they may already have in place for the upcoming Second Sunday. Many hands make light work!
