For delayed openings, the Aldersgate Day School schedule is as follows: If Fairfax County Public Schools are closed, the Aldersgate Day School is closed If Fairfax County Public Schools are delayed, the Aldersgate Day School opens at 10:00 am and closes at noon If Fairfax County Schools dismiss early, the Aldersgate Day School will dismiss at regular time (Kindergarten, five-hour classes, and Lunch Bunch will typically be dismissed at regular time; however, parents will be called if conditions warrant an earlier release.)

The word ‘Aldersgate’ comes from a place where, nearly 300 years ago, a priest named John Wesley first felt his heart on fire with love of God and love for his neighbor. At Aldersgate Day School our goal is to offer the same opportunity to the children of our congregation and our community. Educating since 1962, Aldersgate Day School is a weekday, three-to-six-hour ministry for children 12 months old to Kindergarten. At Aldersgate Day School, your children are as important to us as they are to you; that’s why we provide a safe, loving, Christian environment for your children. Aldersgate UMC Parking Lot - Near Door 8 We’re excited to partner with New Legacy Books to host a year-round book donation bin right here on our campus. This is an easy and impactful way to support our church while also helping extend the life of books. The green donation bin is located in our parking lot and is available at any time for your convenience. What can you donate? Hardcover, paperback, and textbooks are welcome — as long as they have an ISBN barcode on the back cover. Donated books are resold to new readers, generating funds for our nonprofit ministry. Books that are no longer usable will be responsibly recycled rather than sent to a landfill. Thank you for supporting both our mission and sustainability efforts!
